Jianan Yang
is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Global Health and
Development (iGHD) at Peking University. Professor Yang obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of
California San Diego in 2022. Before
joining Peking University, she was an Asia Health Policy Program postdoctoral fellow at the Shorenstein
Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) at Stanford University from
2022-2023.
Professor Yang specializes in research at the intersection of development and health economics. Her studies delve into the factors influencing healthcare-seeking behaviors in developing nations and explore strategies—both price-based and alternative mechanisms—to enhance them. Additionally, She is interested in medical innovation within these countries.
