Haoyu Gao
Haoyu Gao is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Finance, Renmin University of China, where he also serves as Associate Director of the Department of Monetary Finance. He is a recipient of Outstanding Youth Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), a Wu Yuzhang Distinguished Professor at Renmin University, and has been selected for the 5th China Association for Science and Technology’s “Young Talent Support Program.” Professor Gao earned his Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Mathematics and Systems Science and City University of Hong Kong. His research spans banking and financial intermediaries, financial risk management, Chinese capital markets, and sustainable finance. His work has been published in top finance journals such as The Journal of Finance, The Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He has led a NSFC Youth Project (rated “Outstanding” in post-evaluation) and currently directs an NSFC General Program.
